The Foundation, whose budget is about $50,000 a year, receives no subsidies and pays no salaries. Its directors are all volunteers.
The Foundation is also a recognized charity (no. 8583 14487 RR0001) and accepts donations for which tax receipt are delivered.
To finance the procurement, wrapping and shipping of thousands of holiday gifts, the Foundation sollicits donations and holds fundraising activities, principally:
- the preparation and sale of sweet & spicy nuts at our Jean-Talon Market kiosk during Fall months;
- our Spring & Autumn yard sales;
- occasional benefit evenings.
