We are a little late in writing this 2016 wrap-up.
Sometimes, real life interferes in our elvish lives and writing wrap-ups gets delayed… But here we are! 2016 was a good year for us Elves. When all was said and done, we procured and gave away 3,901 gifts to 52 organizations serving men, women and children affected by HIV-AIDS across Canada.
Fundraising got into high gear in mid-September with our kiosk at Marché Jean-Talon. Open for 21 days, culminating with Santa’s weekend; the kiosk allows us sell our nuts & candy and to talk about the Foundation’s mission. We owe an immense debt of gratitude towards the Marché des saveurs du Québec, our fantastic host at Marché Jean-Talon, and to Chez Nino our new rainy day partner.
Then it comes to the Wrapping Weekend, held yet again (13th year!) at the amazing Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf. We must highlight the renewed support of Jouets Choochoo, Paramount Paper, Groupe Robert, Kindersley Transport, and Café Barista. We must also thank the hundreds of volunteers that made this effort possible.
One good thing about delaying the wrap up is that we can include this significant thank you note :^)
BIG HEARTFELT THANKS to those who, by donating their time, money or resources, have helped our 2016 campaign.
You can help us get a jumpstart on our 2017 campaign by making a donation or by registering for our Fun Bowling Afternoon (February 25th).
